The NICA First Aid program is an Expedition School designed course which teaches individuals how to deal with emergency situations by using first aid skills in a delayed-help environment. Our mountain bike specific first aid class highlights the most pertinent parts of the Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid Class as they apply to the sport. The Wilderness and Remote First Aid program is appropriate for audiences from youth-serving organizations as well as adults who participate in outdoor recreational activities or who work in wilderness or remote settings where emergency medical services (EMS) response is more than 1 hour away.
Our Hybrid Courses offer a combination of online lecture with a live Expedition School Instructor, and in-person practical skills. Both components must be completed in order to receive a certificate for the course. Our team will be in touch on scheduling the in-person skills.
NOTE:Â Students must be in 100% attendance for all events in this series for course credit.
*Prerequisites:
CPR is a prerequisite to taking the NICA First Aid Course. Students must possess and show proof of a current CPR card to attend the NICA First Aid Course. Further, students can register for any Expedition School CPR/AED training within 30 days of the FA course.
